Alabama Community Theatre Festival

ACTFest 2021-2022

Dates: January 14-15, 2022 Location: Theatre Tuscaloosa at Shelton State

If you are considering bringing a show to present during the festival for adjudication, please complete the online registration form (see link below) as soon as possible.  Please note that the registration form requires you to answer how many adults and children will participate in your production.  It is OK to give a close estimation of these numbers that can be adjusted before you make your final payment.  Once your online registration is completed, you will be contacted and provided additional forms and information.  The festival can only accommodate a limited number of productions, so you are encouraged to submit your show as soon as possible to secure your spot in the festival.  If you have questions, please feel free to contact Cindy Harper, Executive Director, at 205-483-2282 or charper@altheatre.org.

ACTFest COVID-19 SAFETY PROTOCOLS

ACTFest’s host site, Shelton State Community College, requires that all individuals who enter the building must correctly wear a face mask (covering the nose and mouth) throughout their time in the building. The building is open at full capacity, however, so there is not currently a distancing requirement. As such, this will also be the policy for all ACTFest attendees. The only exception to this rule will be for those participating in adjudicated performances. Individuals who are acting in festival productions or competing in Individual Events (IEs) may remove their masks while performing only. Masks should be worn at all other times and in all other locations throughout the festival. In addition, the venue will have hand sanitizer available at stations throughout the building.  ACT strongly encourages all attendees to be fully vaccinated as this is the best way to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and protect everyone involved.
